Bionote
Aḥmad ibn Aḥmad Jāmī known as Zhandah Pīl was born in the year 441 AH in the village of Nāmaq. He became interested in Sufism and traveled to many cities of Khurāsān such as Sarakhs, Nayshābūr, Hirāt, Būzjān, Marw, Bākharz and Basṭām. His only trip outside of Khurāsān was to Mecca. Aḥmad Jām established a Khānaqāh in Maʻadd Ābād village in Jām and engaged in preaching and authoring books. He died in 536 AH and was buried in that village.
