    Aḥmad b. Muḥammad al-Ḥaḍramī al-Shabwī wrote a commentary on select aspects of Ibn al-Jawzī’s al-Muntakhab (المنتخب), a work on Qurʾānic hermeneutics. Nothing is known about his life, though his nisba indicates that he was originally from Ḥaḍramawt (حضرموت), a province in Yemen, the capital of which was the city of Shabwa (شبوة).
