Abū l-Qāsim al-Ḥusayn b. Muḥammad b. al-Mufaḍḍal, known as al-Rāghib al-Iṣfahānī, was a scholar active during the eleventh century. While the extant biographical data on him is scarce, he most likely lived in Isfahan, and is counted by later biographers among the town’s notables. He appears to have been associated with the intellectual circles of the Buyid minister Ṣāḥib b. ʿAbbād (d. 385/995), though this does not necessarily indicate that he spent time in Baghdad. The extant manuscript evidence indicates that he was alive in 409/1018. There are no confirmed reports on the time and place of his death.
